Cher Car Kennels strives to produce the working dog that you remember from childhood. Our breeding stock is selected on the basis of sound temperament, longevity and health. All dogs used in our breeding program are x-ray cleared (hips and elbows) with O.F.A. certification obtained at the appropriate age, as it sometimes makes no difference how intelligent a dog may be if it suffers from physical faults that restrict or inhibit the dog from performing tasks required. Our goal since 1977 has been to produce a healthy, great tempered, physically correct and fit dog that is also beautiful to look at and a credit to the breed.

OFA Certification
OFA Certification
Cher Car Kennels believes that a dog must be structurally sound. It sometimes makes no difference how intelligent a dog may be if it suffers from physical faults that restrict or inhibit the dog from performing tasks required. Therefore, we do everything possible to eliminate hip and elbow dysplasia from our dogs. All of Cher Car's breeding stock is x-ray cleared (hips and elbows) with OFA certification obtained at the appropriate age, and although no breeder can claim 100% success, we believe our results are quite impressive.
To view results of some of our dogs, please check our link to the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals' website.
We try to maintain a wide variety of females within the breeds we have that will add different qualities to our planned litters.
We do NOT just breed for "HIGH DRIVE"... meaning that each breeding is planned to be a stable blend of easy to train, healthy dogs that would be suitable for a LOT of different families, households, and styles of work.
Some females are known to produce very stable, easy going PETS, Therapy dogs, agility dogs, and the like. Other females are going to produce more driven, energetic working dogs; suitable for police work, sport, or any type of demanding placement.
Let us know what type of dog you are looking for, and we can tell you which breeding will produce what you are interested in!
All our females are UKC registered. All will have health checks suitable for their breed.
Some on the pages won't be old enough for OFA, but will be OFA'd when they reach the correct age. Watch for updates!
Cher Car Kennels is proud to present our list of studs for your perusal. We have also listed some of the studs available that have been trained, or bred by Cher Car Kennels. Most stud services are by private treaty.
