They say the “third time’s a charm” and Django is certainly proof of that! Django is the third UKC Dutch Shepherd “Superdog” bred by Cher Car Kennels, joining his aunt “Luna” and his brother from another mother “Colt”.
Django is titled in Agility, Dock Jumping, Lure Coursing, Nosework, Obedience, Rally Obedience and Weight Pull. He is also the UKC's only Dutch Shepherd Quandruple Champion (United Rally Obedience Champion, Ultimate Dock Jumping Champion, Ultimate Fetch-It Champion and UKC Breed Conformation). He is a multiple HIGH-in-Trial winner who has also earned numerous TOTAL DOG awards for qualifying in BOTH breed and performance at the same show.
Although he just began his breeding career in 2017, we kept one of his daughters from his first litter to incorporate into our breeding program in the future, while a son from his second litter has been purchased by an East Coast department for training as a Police K-9.
Django loves UKC water sports (dock jumping) and excels in both Ultimate Distance Jumping and Ultimate Fetch-It. He was the UAD 2017 TOP DOG in BREED in FETCH-IT competition and was ranked #7 in the country of all-breeds competing.
Django in FETCH-IT competition
Django performing in Ultimate Distance competition with a 25'8" catch. Tradition calls for the handler to jump in the pool when their dog achieves a "personal best" in distance, so that is what the crowd is calling for after this jump!
Django is owned, loved and trained by Kristen Vaccariello in Cleveland, Ohio. Although not her first competition dog, Django is her first Dutch Shepherd.
Kristen is currently training Django in French Ring Sport, but this dog and handler team have previously been very successful in personal protection competitions earning several placements over the last few years.
